We arrived in Chinon around 4:30pm after dropping down a steep hill into the centre of Chinon and almost burning out our disc brakes! There were several bad smells once we got to the bottom of the hill. Once we were settled in the hotel the reception desk called our room to politely inform us that the hotel had a drying room and that we didn't need to hang up our T-shirts on the curtain rail with the window open! The highlight of today for me was accompanying the poor French lady who took Bob to the shop to get a pair of trousers! We quickly resolved the problem and returned to the hotel. This evening we walked into the centre of Chinon and found a nice cafe and restaurant. The lads are in good spirits however there has been talk of high OMA (Oh! My A**e!) factors. OMA is an internationally recognised system of measuring the saddle friction over a given time period! Tomorrow we have around the same distance as today. Looking forward to it ! :-)
Cheers, David
